The picturesque village of Streatley-on-Thames is the perfect place for a group residential, whether you are returning from a daytrip to London, Windsor, Oxford, Stonehenge, Bath or Stratford (all within 90 minutes of Streatley) or you have spent time locally on The Ridgeway or Thames Path National Trails which meet in the village.
Our Victorian house offers a warm welcome and all the facilities you need for a comfortable group stay. We have a classroom for educational groups and meetings and we can cater for evening meals, breakfasts and packed lunches. Depending on your group size you can even have exclusive use of the whole youth hostel.
School children will have a field day at nearby Beale Park or The Living Rainforest, plus there are two excellent parks nearby that are ideal for outdoor games. We’re also perfectly positioned for a fun day out at Legoland which is just 40 minutes away.
A walk up through the National Trust woodlands behind the youth hostel will take you to some splendid viewpoints over the River Thames, or if you prefer something more relaxing take a gentle stroll along the Thames Path to Goring Lock. Cyclists and running groups will enjoy the wide variety of on or off road routes, and rowing crews can launch their boats at Pangbourne, Wallingford, Reading or Henley before enjoying a well-earned pint or glass of wine from our licensed bar.
