Overview
YHA Snowdon Ranger, situated at the foot of Wales’ highest and most famous mountain, is the perfect retreat for a geography field trip or any group break involving physical activity. While learning more about the geology of the mountain and surrounding area, study tours can take the Snowdon Ranger Path to the summit – it’s one of the easier routes and is suitable for most group ability levels.
However, that’s not all the hostel offers to UK school trips and group visits. The nearby Caernarfon Castle, a hugely impressive structure dating back to the 13th century, is steeped in local history and a great destination for an educational break. History students can also learn more about the area’s industrial past at the Sygun Copper Mine.
