Overview
Want to gorge on adventure? YHA Cheddar has everything you need for an action-packed break and is perfect for activity groups. We’re surrounded by some of the best climbing and caving in the south, or you could make a splash with some watersports. This large Victorian house has plenty of space to relax after a hard day outdoors, with home comforts like board games available.
YHA Cheddar recommends Mendip Outdoor Pursuits to bring groups high octane adventures during their stay. Try exciting activities like climbing the limestone cliffs of Cheddar Gorge, or take the plunge with some fun kayaking. Not to mention attractions like Animal Farm Adventure Park, Stanton Drew stone circle and endless caves such as Wookey Hole.
The hostel can provide tasty breakfasts, lunch and evening meals for groups, along with a licensed bar if you fancy a drink together. With a comfortable lounge of sofas and armchairs, activity groups and field trips can wind down after their adventures in a quiet and rural setting.
