Overview
Finally, and exclusively to residential groups, the Eden Project offer 3 exciting evening activities including the secret biome: a unique opportunity to explore the biomes when they are closed to the general public as night time falls – a truly magical experience.
All workshops, challenges and evening activities are delivered by the experienced education staff from the Eden Project and should be booked directly with their education team who are available on 01726 811913. Entrance to the Eden Project is included in the price with any workshop, challenge or evening activity.
We recommend that all school groups who plan to visit the Eden Project as part of their stay with YHA contact the education team on the above number to ensure that you get the most out of your visit to this truly unique experience.

Entrance to the Eden Project needs to be arranged in advance. Either as part of the packages offered by the Eden Educational team or separately as entry only.

How to get here
By car and coach:
The Eden Project is situated just outside St Austell and is well sign-posted from the A30 from Exeter and the A391/390 from Plymouth. Follow the M5 south bound to Exeter before taking the A30 and continuing until you reach the Innis Downs junction (A391) and from here the Eden Project will be signposted. During Eden trading hours there are a number of entrances to the site which will be available to use, please report straight to the hostel reception on your arrival. Service Gate Entrance: This 24 hour security gate is fully manned and is the only entry/exit to the site after the normal gates close (generally after 6pm). We will give you the map on your arrival as the gate is on the opposite end of the Eden Project site to the hostel. The postcode PL24 2SZ will take you directly to the service gate and it’s on Bodelva Road, exit for the A390. If you leave site and wish to return to YHA Eden Project out of trading hours, you’ll need find and use the 24 hour gate.
By bus:
The 101 bus runs from St Austell train station to the Eden Project during the day – if you are arriving in the evening you can book a taxi to YHA Eden Project. The 101 bus stop is a 15 minute walk away from our hostel.
