Great for the Thames Path National Trail
Walking, cycling and watersports fans will love YHA Streatley-on-Thames’ picturesque location – it’s perfect for taking on the Thames Path or Ridgeway National Trails. Our Victorian house makes a great base for school trips and activity groups, offering a room with TV and whiteboard for study or meetings. We can also provide you with group catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
With a cosy lounge, plenty of board games and books, plus a licensed bar for a well-earned pint, we’re ideal for a comfortable Berkshire break. You can even take a walk in the National Trust woodlands behind the Youth Hostel itself – a great little expedition for school children.
Adrenaline junkies can bring their mountain bike to tackle the famous Ridgeway, or cycle through a string of pretty villages. Don’t miss a chance to row on the Thames at Wallingford, Pangbourne or Henley. You’ll also find fun attractions like LEGOLAND nearby, and nature lovers can have a field day at Beale Park or The Living Rainforest. Best of all, we’re surrounded by lush green space for a picnic.
