City Exploration Bolt-on

Provided by The Exploration Society, these unique adventures offer an exhilaratingly different way to explore the famous streets and museums of London. Your group will be met at the hostel by The Exploration Society’s enthusiastic staff members and from here the adventure begins. Throughout the sessions students will interact with locations and work together as a team to solve intricate puzzles and complete the final missions.

The Mystery of the Museum Murder

Suggested duration: 3 hours

Based on Cluedo, use your powers of navigation, deduction and lateral thinking to solve the murder. There will be information from forensic reports and eye witness statements to direct you as you explore a museum, visit exhibits, try to eliminate possible suspects, rooms and murder weapons from your enquiries. Who did it? Where did they do it? Which weapon did they use? The closest to the truth will receive a commendation. The Exploration Society will liaise with museums across London and liaise with you to create the best experience for your group.

The Curse of the Crystal Skulls

Suggested duration: 3 hours

This pirate-themed treasure hunt around South East London requires groups to use navigation, deduction and lateral thinking to follow historical clues and recover a lost treasure. Using the information from news articles and a treasure map, teams explore an urban game area locating Crystal Skulls that carry a piece of the puzzle. Each group will have their own unique treasure cache to recover allowing every group to complete the challenge. Can they decipher the treasure map to find the final resting place of the treasure?

The Mystery of the Missing Crown

Suggested duration: 3 hours

Inspired by classic drawing room mysteries, this activity involves navigation, deduction and lateral thinking. Groups must explore a museum and question museum employees to discover which of them has stolen a priceless crown. Using the information gleaned from careful interrogation can you eliminate possible suspects from your enquiries? At the end of the session teams will be asked to reveal who they think did it, how they did it and why. The team(s) closest to the truth will receive a commendation. The Exploration Society will liaise with museums across London and liaise with you to create the best experience for your group.

The Mystery of the Locked Book

Suggested duration: 3 hours

This thrilling spy adventure involves activities including navigation, creative problem solving and roleplay. The sinister World Crime League has hatched a dastardly plot that only you can foil. Groups must infiltrate the WCL by posing as enemy agents, recover valuable intelligence from WCL drop sites, and disarm a deadly device before bringing the WCL to justice. Only through cunning, subterfuge and quick thinking will you save the day.
